This is the first attempt at a formal NFCC newsletter that I hope we can publish 2-3 times a month. The newsletter will keep all of our members informed of special events, clubs news, recognize members and generally keep members updated. I hope it will be informative and fun and enjoyed by all.
To have a successful newsletter we need content, so I am asking anyone who has some NFCC news to take a picture and send it to me with a short write up. It can be anything curling related like an event winner at a spiel, an 8 ender, events at the club and so on. If it involves an NFCC member and is curling related we want to hear about it! [email protected]
I will also be hosting a contest to name the newsletter so get your thinking caps on!!. More to follow in the next edition.

NFCC Debenture Program
The NFCC offered 100 debentures to the NFCC members in the fall. The funds generated are to be used for improving the clubs working capital position, allow for some much needed capital improvements and provide a contingency fund in case the club has a piece of equipment break down requiring a large financial outlay. We are pleased to report that all 100 of the debentures were sold generating $100,000. Thank you to all the members who participated!!!!
National Sport Trust Fund.
Many members have also participated in the NSTF program where members can make a charitable donation and receive a tax receipt. The program is coordinated by long time NFCC member Marilyn Minard, and in fiscal 2020, some of the NSTF funds have been used to repair the west wall of the curling rink, shore up the roof supports with steel channels, and purchase a new furnace. You are making a difference so thanks to all those members who have participated in the program!! It is very much appreciated.
If you are interested in making a donation you can Contact Jordan or Brenda in the club office.
